The celebrities did their best to make sure all eyes were on them as they walked the red carpet at the Grammys, held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday.
And there were some sensational haute couture looks on the night, the likes of Cardi B, Katy Perry and J-Lo set the internet alight with their VERY quirky ensembles.
Katy Perry, 34, was mocked for her oversized Balmain gown, which was compared to a tampon, a giant candyfloss, a toilet-roller smuggler and a paint-roller as she was tickled pink by the memes - able to see the funny side.

And her performance on the night didn't go down too well - paying tribute to Dolly Parton, many were confused as to why Katy was included in the mix of country stars who joined her on stage to celebrate her 50-year career.
And they were less than impressed with her rendition of Here You Come Again.
Viewers wrote: 'I've seen war. I've seen violence. But I’ve never witnessed anything close to the barbaric murder Katy Perry just committed on @DollyParton,' one brutal review read.

The singer is known for her love of experimental fashion and this strapless design in Barbie pink was no exception, with its oversized skirt section.
Katy may well have been feeling a bit peckish when she picked out her frock for the evening, because she ended up choosing a design that looked almost identical to a cupcake.
The saccharine sweet style featured layer upon layer of tulle - not unlike a mille feuille - while the top half looked as though it had been attacked with some silver spray paint.

It had a giant fan-like design, which was compared to Botticelli's famous Birth of Venus painting, as well as Ursula, the sea witch in The Little Mermaid.
She wore a golden beaded headdress which was likened to a pyramid of Ferraro Rocher chocolates, while the frills on her dress were compared to coffee filters.

Cardi was not the only member of her family to fall at the fashion hurdle however. Her sister, Hennessy Carolina, also made an appearance on the worst-dressed list, thanks to her rather bizarre orange jacket that featured very large billowing sleeves - and an incredibly high hemline.
In fact, the jacket looked as though most of the material had gone to the sleeves, leaving little to add any length to the dress - and leaving Hennessy looking as though perhaps she had forgotten to put on a pair of matching pants before heading to the awards show.
Due to the bright nature of the colour of her dress, one Twitter user compared her to a cartoon elephant.

The Grammys always play host to some of award season's most extravagant and ridiculous fashions, but this year may well have taken the cake as far as baffling sartorial choices.
But it was Jennifer Lopezwho was perhaps the most surprising star to make an appearance on the worst dressed list; the 49-year-old singer and actress wore a pale blue sleeveless gown with an inexplicably large cowboy-style hat that almost completely covered her face, and left her looking like a character out of an old Western.
It led to her being compared to singer Pharrell Williams, who loves to wear a giant hat and the size of the headgear was also mocked as it appeared to obscure her vision somewhat.

From the inexplicably large shoulders on Janelle Monae's unique dress to the Monsters Inc-esque ensemble worn by rapper Tierra Whack, there was no shortage of bizarre outfits on the red carpet at the glittering event.
Kylie Jenner is another celebrity to make a rather out-of-the-ordinary style slip-up, wearing a peculiar pink jumpsuit that featured a criss-cross bodice and built-in gloves.
The outfit was not unlike a straight jacket, giving the impression that her arms were somehow caught up in the design.

However, the reality star-turned beauty mogul didn't let that stop her from hugging and kissing her beau Travis Scott, who was performing at the event, and who put on a very loved-up display with his partner on the red carpet.
The 21-year-old was also showing off a very plump pout, having perhaps returned to her much-loved fillers after taking a short break in order to model a more natural lip look.
Trend? Janelle Monae also wore a very large hat with her outfit - a dress that had confusingly large shoulders that hovered above her body as she walked the carpet
Up, up, and away! Saint Heart wore a butterfly-colored gown that featured actual wings, which she proudly showed off while posing on the red carpet and pulling them up for the photographers to see
Grrr... argh... Rapper Tierra Whack resembled a character from Monsters Inc in her multicolored furry coat, which she wore with an equally garish painted dress
Something different: Tayla Parx, 25, chose a dress that looked like it had been made from scraps of leftover fabric. She added a pair of colorful Converse to the look to finish it off
The dress - which looked like something out of a Disney cartoon - featured a bizarre shell-like frill around the waist that fanned up around her body and gave the impression that she was playing the part of The Little Mermaid, an image that was hammered home by the addition of several pearl embellishments, including one particularly large pile on top of her head.
Combined with the fish scale-esque finish on the bodice of the dress, it really did make for a rather Under the Sea-style look - and a less-than-sizzling red carpet appearance.

Michaels called... Du Yen, seen posing with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, wore an incredibly odd outfit that could well have been made in a craft room at home using supplies from an art supply store
Another low note:Blanca Blanco failed to wow in her floral-embellished dress, which featured a very sheer skirt, an awkwardly-high slit, and a very tacky flower feature on the bodice

Peculiar: Singer St. Vincent almost looked as though she had been swallowed alive by her enormous dress, which featured a huge train - and yet an incredibly high hemline
OTT: CeeLo Green and his partnerShani James made quite the impression in their bedazzled outfits - with Shani going the extra mile and adding the same embellishments on her lips
